01

Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MusicPoster handles information when its operator connects a Google account and uses YouTube API Services. MusicPoster is a private desktop application operated by Scenecore Music Lab. It is not a public account service and does not accept registrations from the public.

This website is informational only. It does not run the desktop application, receive OAuth credentials, or provide access to the operator's channels, computer, files, or network.

02

Google data accessed

MusicPoster requests two Google OAuth scopes:

  • youtube.upload to upload operator-selected videos and their metadata to an authorized YouTube channel.
  • youtube.readonly to read basic channel information and verify that the intended channel is connected.

The application may process the connected channel's identifier and display name, OAuth access and refresh credentials, and the results of an upload such as the resulting YouTube video identifier, URL, or status. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, passwords, or unrelated Google data.

03

How data is used

Google user data is used only to:

  • authenticate the operator-selected YouTube channel;
  • show enough channel information to confirm the correct connection;
  • perform an upload explicitly requested or scheduled by the operator; and
  • record the result needed to avoid accidental duplicate publishing.

MusicPoster does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, build advertising profiles, or use it for any purpose unrelated to the application's visible YouTube publishing functions.

04

Storage and security

Authorization credentials and connection records are stored locally on an operator-controlled device with operating-system file access restrictions. They are not sent to or stored on this public website. MusicPoster does not operate a cloud database for Google user data.

The website has no sign-in, forms, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or non-essential cookies. Like any hosting provider, the web host may process ordinary technical request data such as IP address and user agent for delivery, security, and abuse prevention under its own policies.

05

Sharing and transfer

MusicPoster does not sell, rent, or disclose Google user data to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. Data is transmitted to Google only as required to authenticate and use YouTube API Services. Google's processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

06

Retention, deletion, and revocation

OAuth credentials are retained locally while the corresponding channel remains connected and the credentials are needed for publishing. The operator can disconnect a channel in MusicPoster, remove its stored authorization data, or revoke access from the Google Account connections page.

Authorization failures stop further API use. After a deletion request or confirmed revocation, the operator will remove the corresponding stored Google authorization data as soon as practical and no later than seven calendar days, except where retention is legally required. A deletion request can be sent to the contact address below.

07

Operator control

The operator selects the source file, target channel, title, description, and configured visibility before live posting. MusicPoster does not publish content to an unconnected channel and does not expose controls to public website visitors.

08

YouTube and Google terms

MusicPoster uses YouTube API Services. Use of YouTube features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

09

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when MusicPoster's functionality or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revision is published.
